Do you know
the feeling of having so many things to do, but not knowing what to do first and how to do them? the fear of messing up something big? the fatigue from thinking so much and doing so little? the feeling of the world weighed up on you?
I feel these tonight. And I am starting to feel nothing. I am getting used to them, unfortunately, and it should not be. I need Joy back. Where is the happy Z who does not get lost from A to Y?
Today God says, have Joy in Me. Stop relying on external sources to derive happiness, for they do not last. True Joy fountains out of a wellspring that never runs out of fresh supply. And I pray, Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. (Psalm 51:52)
He says, do not worry. Do not torment yourself with or suffer from disturbing thoughts; do not fret. For I take care of everything in the universe: from the air you breathe, to the birds in the sky, to the clothes you wear; every little detail is in My hands. I will take care of them. I will take care of you, My dear child. I love you so much, don’t you see? So seek first My Kingdom and My righteousness, and experience how My Hands provide. (Matthew 6:25-34)
And He says, do not fear, My child. I have told you over and over again, and yet I will now say once more until you learn, that I will never leave you, and I will never forsake you, so do not fear! For I am with you always- till the very end of the age. (Hebrews 13:5, Deuteronomy 31:6, Matthew 28:20)
And for all you who are tired of the clutter in your life, for all of you who have tried again and again to be the person you yearn to be, take heart! Come to Me! I am the source of rest. No amount of sleep can refresh your heart as thoroughly as My holy breath! I will give you rest. Come to Me, My child. (Matthew 11:28)
My Son has borne all the weight of the world that any one could ever bear on Himself. He has overcome the world! So My child, rest in me! No burden that you are now carrying can ever amount to His pain over two thousand years ago. Trust Me, precious one, when Jesus said ‘It is finished.’ Come and find rest for your soul in Me. And be joyful once again, for there is nothing that I put you through that I cannot help you to overcome. Trust Me, and struggle powerfully with Me. I want to fight your battles for you. Let Me help you. (John 19:30)
He who has brought me to these troubles will bring me through it. He is my faithful God. And in Him, I will rest tonight.

During a run, there is no ground to judge others, or fear judgment from others. There is simply no basis for comparison. The starting point is different for each of us, the starting time too. The speed at which we run, the horsepower that is innate varies and is unique, the endurance levels are different too. No one is able to say, I am better than the other. Because who are we to assess and judge? We know not their battles and journeys. Similarly in life, there is no ground to judge. Again, every one takes on a unique path, though paths intersect and diverge at various life stations. We do not know what each of us have been through, our life stories. Only the Creator knows everything. So be slow to judge, but quick to offer listening ears for the stories that all of us have not told.

whirlwind of thoughts:
- Like any hardware (eg printer, tv etc), unless and until we are plugged in to the correct energy source, we are unable to unleash our potential and be the best that we can be. Who is this power source of our lives? God; for He has knitted you when you were but a tiny cell in your mother’s womb. (Psalm 139:13-14)
- Alicia did as I told her to during hopetots today because I repeatedly told her, “Do this, and your mummy will come back.” “Eat your biscuits then mummy will be here already.” It struck me that we ought to live our lives with the purpose of seeing Jesus come back for us. ”I ___________ because one day He is coming back for us. I don’t know when, but He has (pinky-) promised that He would so I’ll live in great faith and great expectation.”
